Linux Web Hosting Systems Administrator
UnitedHosting currently have a vacancy for a Linux Systems Administrator for an immediate start. As this is a remote working position applicants can be located anywhere in the UK but must have access to a reliable broadband connection.
The successful applicant will have proven experience of real-world Linux administration in a web hosting environment, including in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies including:
* Strong understanding of Centos/Redhat distribution of Linux.
* Experience in managing web hosting applications (Apache, PHP, Perl, MySQL, DNS, Mail, FTP etc.)
* Ability to write scripts (Bash, Perl etc.) to aid efficient server management.
* Troubleshoot/Analyse complex issues independently until resolved.
* Monitor and maintain all servers including configuration adjustments to optimize performance.
* Pro-actively assist with future server improvements and service roadmap.
* Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills.
* Experience with the Ensim Pro control panel system would be beneficial.
